3 initial music video ideas

Ok, so i found a local band called Vienna on the social network site "Facebook" and showed them to another media student that i plan to do a music video with Victoria Rose. their music categorizes in the rock genre and so i know that i will be doing more of a performance based music video if i was to produce one for them. they have a few songs in which i downloaded so i could prepare some ideas for a music video:

1st initial idea:

my moodboard

I made this collage as it expresses how i would like my music video to look if i was to do this song as my final idea. . From the picture you can see that i like the idea of having it set outside in some sort of cornfield, dusty field, hitting sunset however, the problem i face is keeping that setting as sunset is hard to capture for the amount of hours of shooting i would need to do.
- another input i want in the video, is quick cuts of the band actually performing and editing it in black and white but for it to be quite a quick image on the video.
- I also like the idea of having extreme close ups of the instruments being played and having a honeycomb lighting affect on them.

2nd initial idea:

Blogger wouldnt let me upload the downloaded songs for some reason so i just linked the bands website page in which when it opens their song "Somewhere between the tide & i" starts so to hear it just click on the link! Anyways this song really reminded me of the band "You me at six" so i looked up and thoroughly looked at some of their music videos which are as i expected mainly performance based videos however with a little narrative story to. a good example is:

You me at six's video- "Underdog"

if i was to do this song as my final idea the beginning of the song has quite a bit of instrumental of the guitar, which is where i think a bit of footage of the band walking onto a stage just about to peform a gig would fit perfectly and then when the first drum beat hits the lights could come on and the band are in this wide shot of them playing their instruments and obviously the singer lip synching. I definately think i would need a lot of shots as i would want it to be a video where we see so many different angles of the bands so there would be many cuts. i would also want to make it interesting and use a variety of effects especially with the lighting and the backgrounds. I would want the singer to be centre of attention as his voice powers through in this song so i would try and make the other band members in a black and white atmosphere except the singer where he would be in original colour. From listening to the lyrics, i think there could be an input of narrative within the structure of the performance as many videos focus more on the singer, he would be the main actor. The narrative would be of a girl and boy being a typical notion where I would want to keep it fluent eventhough i will be using so many cuts but keeping them synchronized and in dynamic.

3rd initial idea:

This band is "After the Ordeal" and the song linked is from their myspace page and it is called "other sides". it is a bit longer then an original song at 5:48, which i may find difficult to get enough footage. it definately would be more performance based as it is quite a heavy rock song. I also think if I didnt have the right footage, it could cause the audience to loose interest so i think i would have to mix a bit of narrative within the perfomance just because i would not have enough footage for it to be a whole performance video.
